The Vtrix™ platform consists of three separate system modules: VTRIX-Cam™ (allows video to be transmitted over any IP network); VTRIX-TV™ (converts IP video to be displayed on a standard video monitor); and VTRIX-ACB™ (allows duplex transmission of audio, remote control, and telemetry-gathering over any IP network).

The stand-alone wavelet-based VTRIX™ remote video surveillance plus telemetry and remote control platform features remote camera control and scalable bit rate to enable operation over any IP network, 9.6Kbps or greater. The VTRIX™ includes full-color, motion video at up to 30 frames/second at a maximum resolution of 640 by 480 (enhanced mode 720 by 486). Hardware-based wavelet video compression allows for multiple days of video to be captured on a single hard disk.

Several cameras can be monitored and recorded on a hard-drive (with separate host system). Each camera can be remotely adjusted with the digital pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) feature. The “always on” remote monitoring ability enables the monitored activity, property, equipment and /or employees to be continually under surveillance. Duplex voice communication with acoustic processing provides real-time voice and audio communications simultaneously with real-time video, and voice activity detection facilitates video capture. Advanced features like low-bandwidth transmission, extensive telemetry feedback and remote adjustments of cameras make real-time remote management of telemedicine, threat assessment, fire and medical emergency response possible.
